Prenup Photo Shoot

It was a last minute thing that was done in a haste but came out beautifully. Truly quite an experience being photograped like that....

The locations were in and around Angono, Rizal (my hometown). First stop was at Fiesta Casino. Situated on top of a hill overlooking the whole town, it's a hotel with casino. Though I grew up in Angono, I never really got the chance to go up there. So when we arrived at the set, I was surprised. I've no idea that there's such a place like that in a suburb. Modernized structure with a well maintained garden. At the start of the photo shoot, Agyo & I were a bit shy as to how we'll pose in front of the cameras. To make the shots look natural, Edong (the funny camera man) told us some jokes while he took the shots. Little did we know, a small crowd gathered to watch us. Nyek! Akala ata nila eh mga artista....

After a couple of hours on the hill, we were off to our second location. It was the St. Clement Parish church. The plan was to take some shots inside the church, but since there was a novena in progress, we've decided to just do it outside. Again, there were fans present at the scene....

The third and last stop was the Balaw-Balaw Restaurant. Famous for it's exotic dishes and beautiful paintings, the place was one of a kind. While we waited for our food to arrive, Babe & I explored the museum (with Edong & the crew taking random shots of us). The food were very delicious and served in really big portions....I mean really BIG portions....Isang planggana ang rice....and take note, my uncle still ordered an extra rice!!!

After eating so much rice, everybody were ready to call it a day. So we said our thank yous and we're looking forward to see each other again on the wedding day.

Now, here is our moving pictures by Fol Rana, Jr. Photography. We hope you'll enjoy watching it. To read more about this, you can check out my photographer's blog by clicking here.

Melly Boob's Stagget

Yey! Just got back from Whistler. I would say, it was "one hell of a week end". Thanks to my friends (Ash, Jonathan, Mandy & Sally), my bachelorette party was a REAL success.

Friday Night (Nov. 17) after work, the PUTACHINAS meet up and drove to Whistler. When we got there, we just chilled for a bit and went to sleep. The next day when I woke up, Sally (aka cook) & Mandy (aka fashion guru) were already making our breakfast. I turned up the music a 'lil bit just to pump up the mood. And as usual, baklang Jonathan was taking photos of himself. After breakfast, Ash (aka driver) & I (aka bride-2-be) prepared our tank tops for "the event". Then in the afternoon, we went out and walked around the village. We took some photos, sipped some coffee, & took more photos.

Darkness fell and everyone were a bit anxious. Anxious 'coz it was the first time the group hired a real male stripper. So, to loosen up, we drank alcohol & danced to Jonathan's beat. Then he finally arrived. His name is Cody and he was really good looking. We chit-chat for awhile then he asked us to set up his music while he go change clothes. After a couple of minutes....low & behold....there he was, standing at the middle of the room, looking so damn cute in his POLICE uniform. As he started the show, Ash was already screaming like crazy & Jonathan was video taping the whole act. Everyone loved the show, especially the part when we go one by one and "do it" with Cody - I meant Dancing & Touching & Kissing & Licking.

2 songs that were excessively used in this occasion: Sexy Back by JT & Public Affair by Jessica Simpson.

For the Desperate Housewives (Mydee & Chelo), have fun looking at our photos! ('o')

ThE oNe tHaT aLmOsT gOt aWaY...

In your life, you'll make note of a lot of people. Ones with whom you shared something special, ones who will always mean something. There's the one you first kissed, the one you first loved, the one you lost your virginity to, the one you put on a pedestal, the one you're with.. and the one that got away.

Who is the one that got away? I guess it's that person with whom everything was great, everything was perfect, but the timing was just wrong. There was no fault in the person, there was no flaw in the chemistry, but the cards just didn't fall the right way, I suppose.

I believe in the fact that ending up with someone, finding a longtime partner that is, does not lie merely in the other person. I can actually argue that an equal part, or maybe even the greater part, has to do with the matter of timing. It has to do with you being ready to settle down and commit to someone in a way that goes beyond the little nice ties of giddy romance.

How often have you gone through it without even realizing it? When you're not ready to commit in that mature manner, it doesn't matter whom you're with, it just doesn't work. Small problems become big; inconsequentials become dealbreakers simply because you're not ready and it shows. It's not that you and the person you're with are no good; it's just that it's not yet right, and little things become the flashpoint of that fact.

Then one day you're ready. You really are. And when this happens you'll be ready to settle down with someone. He or she may not be the most perfect, they might not be the brightest stars of romance to ever have burned in your life, but it'll work because you're ready. It'll work because it's the right time and you'll make it work. And it will make sense, it really will.

So that day comes when you're finally making sense of things, and you find yourself to be a different person. Things are different, your approach is different, you finally understand who you are and what you want, and you've become ready because the time has truly arrived. And mind you, there's no telling when this day will come. Hopefully you're single but you could be in a long-term relationship, you could be married with three kids, it doesn't matter. All you know is that you've changed, and for some reason, the one that got away, is the person you think about.

You'll think about them because you'll wonder, "What if they were here today?" You'll wonder, "What if we were together now, with me as I am and not as I was?" That's what the one that got away is. The biggest "What if?" you'll have in your life.

If you're married, you'll just have to accept the fact that the one that got away, got away. Believe me, no matter how fairy tale you think your marriage is, this can happen to the best of us. But hopefully you're mature enough to realize that you're already with the one you're with and this is just another test of your commitment, one which will just strengthen your marriage when you get past it. Sure, you'll think about him/her every so often, but it's alright. It's never nice to live with a "might have been," but it happens.

Maybe the one that got away is the one who is already married. In which case it's the same thing. You just have to accept and know that your memories of that person will probably bring a nice little smile to your lips in the future when you're old and gray and reminiscing.

But if neither of that is the case, then it's different. What do you do if it's not yet too late? Simple.... Find him, find her. Because the very existence of a "one that got away" means that you'll always wonder, what if you got that one?

Ask him out for coffee, ask her out to watch a movie, it doesn't matter if you've dropped in from nowhere. You'd be surprised, you just might be the "one that got away" as well for the person who is your "the one that got away".

You might think that dropping out from nowhere will not make a difference. But if the timing is finally right, it will all just fall into place somehow.

Believe me, for I've been in this situation, it's a great feeling in the end to be able to say to someone, "Hey you, you're the one that almost got away".

  • Yes, i can claim that I am one of the contributors in creating this bitchy "MSCY" nickname way back in highschool. M-S-C-Y... Remember coming up with that unique spelling that gives out a "i'm not a whore, but i'm not a virgin either" sounding impression ... at dahil pinanindigan niya ang name, now the whole world knows her as that. =) Would you believe me if i say she's as NAUGHTY but HARMLESS as i am? ... It's true ... Mscy is a perfect partner in crime, full of mischieves, and sure knows how to get away with it! Mabuhay ang tropang 68! -Candoy Jackson

S-A-D is the word to describe life if i've never knew a friend like Mscy -Janice di Carpio

-Izzette
